Kyoto is one of my most favorite cities in Japan. Today I’ll show you a wonderful 4k movie of a special temple there. First of all, here are some Kyoto facts.

Kyoto became the Japanese national capital in 794. It was when the imperial palace was moved from Nagaoka-kyo to Heian-kyo. Since then, it has been the Japanese national capital for almost ten centuries. The capital was relocated to Tokyo in 1,869.

The American travel magazine Travel+Leasure ranked Kyoto as No.1 in their World Best Cities in 2014 and 2015. Charleston replaced Kyoto in 2016, but Kyoto still keeps its high popularity.

The Kinkaku-ji temple is one of the places you can’t miss in Kyoto. Its official name is Rokuon-ji. But it’s more popular with the name of Kinkaku-ji temple, which means “temple of the golden pavilion”.

It was inscribed on the List of UNESCO World Cultural Heritage as one of the configuration assets of ancient Kyoto cultural properties in 1994.

Please enjoy its spectacular beauty in the movie. Don’t forget to turn on the 4K quality. And tell me how you liked it!

There are so many other nice places to visit in Kyoto, too. If you are lucky enough to have a chance to go there, don’t forget to ask me some secret tips!
